چکیده

This study assessed the clinical characteristics, epidemiological trends, and changes associated with major pathogens causing gastrointestinal inflammation. We retrospectively analyzed test results of hospitalized patients who were administered a mPCR for diarrhea bacteria between June 2010 December 2019 at Cheonan Dankook University hospital in Republic Korea identified characteristics trends related to Our showed that infections due Clostridium perfringens, Escherichia coli H7, Campylobacter species (spp.), Clostridioides difficile toxin B varied seasonally (March October). When examining annual we found H7 incidence decreased significantly throughout time frame examined, from 27.27% total 8.93% 2019. In contrast, both spp., spp. gradually increased this frame. was able demonstrate improvements environmental hygiene have aided reducing occurrence water borne diarrhea, while food borne, anaerobic bacteria, such as those present non-sterile milk poultry, are increasing. believe will serve useful resource better understanding dynamics risks bacterial including caused by

Specific detection of Salmonella spp. by multiplex polymerase chain reaction.

Three sets of oligonucleotide primers were used in the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay to detect Salmonella species. phoP primers specific to the phoP/phoQ loci of coliform pathogenic bacteria such as Salmonella, Shigella, Escherichia coli, and Citrobacter species served as presumptive indicators of enteric bacteria. In addition to the phoP primers, the Hin and the H-1i primers, which tar...

Sensitive Detection of Thirteen Bacterial Vaginosis-Associated Agents Using Multiplex Polymerase Chain Reaction

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is characterized by a polymicrobial proliferation of anaerobic bacteria and depletion of lactobacilli, which are components of natural vaginal microbiota. Currently, there are limited conventional methods for BV diagnosis, and these methods are time-consuming, expensive, and rarely allow for the detection of more than one agent simultaneously. Therefore, we conceived an...

Simultaneous Detection of Three Bacterial Seed-Borne Diseases in Rice Using Multiplex Polymerase Chain Reaction

Burkholderia glumae (bacterial grain rot), Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (bacterial leaf blight), and Acidovorax avenae subsp. avenae (bacterial brown stripe) are major seedborne pathogens of rice. Based on the 16S and 23S rDNA sequences for A. avenae subsp. avenae and B. glumae, and transposase A gene sequence for X. oryzae pv. oryzae, three sets of primers had been designed to produce 402 bp ...

Detection Of Toxoplasma Gondii and Human Cytomegalovirus DNA in Blood from Transplant Recipients Using Multiplex Nested Polymerase Chain Reaction

Evidences from many studies suggested a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) as a valuable method for diagnosing infectious disease in the transplant recipients. We used this method for detection of Toxoplasma, gondii and human cytomegalovirus in blood specimens from patients after bone marrow or kidney transplantation. DNA of both infectious agents were detected using two separate sets of nested pr...
